Looked around for a descent hygrometer and couldnt find anything I liked. Found this one and read the reviews. Accurate and works right out of the box. It doesnt take up much room in your humidor as well.

I have two of these keep one in a guitar case and the other in just the room i want to keep humid. They are both very accurate and show the same readings when side by side all the time. I have had them for over a year still and still no problems.
Note- it does not show humidity below 20% i though they were both broke until i realized that. So if you see a “–” for humidity then your too dry.

Great hydrometer. I purchased to use in the home. Winters are very dry. I wondered “how dry inside the home?” When humidity is below 20%, this hygrometer outputs temperature only. According to the helpful Western customer service, if there were a humidity reading of 20% or lower, disregard it, because the hygrometer does not read humidity below 20%. Western is the maker of Caliber III Digital Hygrometer.

This is a very accurate and convenient hygrometer. I actually use it in my guitar case to check the variation of humidity. I will recommend this to any one who may have concern about humidity change and instruments.

Was looking for a hygrometer for tracking humidity in my husband’s new 25-50 cigar solid cherry humidor box, and got this one based on the reviews. Is definitely perfect! Humidity was 100% accurate, and the mountable magnet is a great way to keep it in the box (we mounted it to inside of lid) without it being in the way and with it still being removable if need be! Great product, would highly recommend it!

I bought this hygrometer with a calibration kit just to check it out, even though it can’t be calibrated. I’d say it passed: The kit provides a 75.5±0.3 % RH environment, and the Caliber III read 74%, which is just outside of the advertised tolerance. The picture does not show how small it is; the device measures approximately 1″x4″x0.25″. The only complaint that I can make is that the hygrometer does not have a full range; it can’t measure humidity below 10% and there is an upper limit too (I don’t know how high). In general it’s cheap and accurate, making me a satisfied customer.

I purchased one of these and have already returned it and received a replacement. inaccurate describes both units accurately. they do replace defective units with little complaint, but it takes a month or two, and when the replacement is as inaccurate as the first, why bother? i would definitely suggest purchasing a model you can calibrate yourself, trusting one of these is probably a mistake.

Bought two of these units to check out my 2x AC thermostat units in the house.
First step was to cross check the calibration of the units and found that temp was within +/- 1deg c for a range of Temps from ~62 to 75 c. Humidity also within 1% from approx 20% to 50% humidity.
Found that one of my AC thermostats was consistently running 4 c high. After digging into the software found that an offset had been set 4c off on the AC thermostat.
These 2 little units work well and consistely track each other for both Temp and humidity.
I had also bought a 1-step calibration pack to check the humidity calibration, but noticed that the instructions specifically warn against using these cal packs due to chance of damage to the unit – so have never bothered to do this.

I keep this product in my home and carry it when I go traveling to places of exotic weather. With this product I am able to determine if my body’s sensing of heat or cold is due to Dry Bulb Thermometer temperature or Humidity. it comes in handy when traveling if trying to make a point to Hotel Staff concerning comfort. Not all places in the world have a thermostat in the room and some peoples are used to hotter and colder temps than Americans. Also, it is small so you can set it in anything to get a quick check on conditions. A very handy device. Shipped and arrived quickly.
