Like all digital hygrometers – accurate only in the middle of the scale
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Nothing spectacularly good or bad to write about except that the accuracy of the humidity is respectable only in the middle of the scale (40-50%). But then again all digital humidifiers are like that. And really that is the range where you typicall want humidity in domestic living areas to be. So for all practical purposes it works ok.
For real accuracy all throughout the band you want a liquid mason’s hygrometer.
Great Product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this product to keep temp and humidity within range for my dog, I have to have the right temp for her pup.
It is small and works great for the purpose. I would recommend this product.
the little monitor that could
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is an excellent, accurate, inexpensive monitor that, if you like, attaches magnetically to your refrigerator or other metal object.
Humidity is wildly inaccurate
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought three of these, and there is over 15% variation between them. In a calibration test at 75%, none of them are right. Not worth buying at all.
not precise temperature measurement
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I have two units of this.
Cons: Compared to other thermometers I have at home, it overstates the temperature by 2F to 8F. I cannot compare the humidity measure (since I don’t have another hygrometer).
The thermometer is limited to a minimum of 32F.
Comparing the two units, temperature measure is approximately the same, but humidity levels are a bit off (one indicates 2 to 4% points higher than the other).
Pros: Cheap and one AAA battery lasts forever.
Conclusion: Not for precise measurement or for outdoor winter.
Good product, good price

I actually purchased two hygrometers from Amazon, this one, and another made by Honeywell, (I think it’s the Envirocaire–or some such name)… both work well but there is one dramatic difference–well actually two. 1.) The shipping cost on this one was about $4.00 and the shipping cost on the other one was nearly TWELVE BUCKS! So by all means look at what you’ll be paying in shipping as these are approximately the same size and weight–I still can’t figure how they justified the outrageous shipping fee for the other one. and 2.) THIS one has a handy little button to let you know the max and min for both temp AND humidity since the last time you cleared/reset it. This means you can truly get a “range” for your humidity over an extended period of time. I was delighted to see the range in my house ran steadily between 37-55.. any higher would’ve been too moist, and lower too dry. It usually runs in the 40′s. I’ve read all the negatives about inaccuracies, but actually used my HS wet bulb and dry bulb instruments (I’m a science teacher–which helped) to calculate humidity and found both to be well within a 2-3 point range of accuracy, which I find acceptable. As the title says… good product, company ships quickly, and the price is fair–including the shipping cost.
Best for 10 bucks

We’ve sold over 300 of these and had just 3 or 4 returns. In my book that means good quality. I would never recommended them for scientific uses like chicken incubators but they are perfect for around the home and garden.
Compact and portable
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
One of the few quality products available to measure humidity and also be transportable. Works like described.
Could be smaller.
Alright for temperature, very inaccurate for humidity
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought two of these to monitor the humidity in my 2 cigar humidors, and they’re completely inaccurate. I’ve run a calibration process on both of them and one is off by 14%, the other is off by 11%. I suppose it works okay for temperature, but terribly for humidity.
